FOOTBALL

nauglepete.jpgPete Naugle, Head Coach
I graduated from Moorhead High School in 1984 where I participated in football, hockey and track and field. From Moorhead I proceeded to play football at Concordia while furthering my education and getting a degree in Elementary Education and Coaching. After graduation I taught 2 years and was an assistant football coach in Wahpeton, ND. I then came to Walker-Hackensack-Akeley as an elementary teacher and assistant football coach. After 5 years of both teaching and coaching I had the opportunity to take the head football coaching position; I have been the head football coach for 15 years. During this time we have accomplished Conference Runner Up three times, Conference Champs, Section Runner Up and Section Champs. I have been married to my wonderful wife Meg for 18 years. We have three children Ben 11, Jack 10 and Lizzie 6. In my spare time I coach my sons Cal Ripen Little League baseball teams, also Youth Squirt hockey.

raddatzpaul.jpgPaul Raddatz, Asst. Coach
Paul Raddatz was born and raised a Minnesota boy!  February 22, 1967 to be exact.  It is said that his first words were "football and food".  Not surprising, in that he had to share and tussle at the line of scrimmage with his identical twin brother.  Raised on the family farm in Hutchinson, MN he attended Hutchinson HS and was part of a very successful football program while there.  Paul enlisted into active duty service with the Army as a way to afford college.  He graduated from Moorhead State University in 1992 and took his first teaching job in Hutchinson where he was part of the football coaching staff.  He began teaching at WHA in the fall of 1993 as a Social Studies instructor and was hired as the JH football coach.  Paul moved to the varsity level staff in the fall of 1995 where he continues to be an integral part of the football coaching staff.  Paul is married to his wonderful wife Carrie and has two daughters, Brianna and Mackenzie.  Paul is a retired Sergeant Major from the reserve military service after 20 years.  He enjoys sports, outdoor activities, cooking and reading.  Paul loves teaching and coaching and hopes to continue in these endeavors.

BOYS BASKETBALL

ducloskyle.jpgKyle Duclos, Head Coach
I have been the boy's basketball head coach at WHA for 12 seasons.  Before that I was the 9th grade boys coach here for a year.  I came from the tradition-rich basketball town of Litchfield where I played for John Carlson, a future MN Coaches Association Hall of Famer.  I also spent a year of apprenticeship under MN Coaches Association Hall of Famer Allan Andreotti at St. Cloud Tech.  I learned a lot from those two coaches, they were great role models.  We hope to run a solid respectable program here at WHA, and operate off of the following mission statement:  "We will play every game with honor and integrity, endless effort and spirit, and for the love of the game."

TRACK & FIELD

pfeifferaaron.jpg Aaron Pfeiffer, Head Track & Field Coach
I am in my twelfth year as a teacher of Social Studies and coach at WHA.  I currently coach junior high football and I am the head track coach.  I have enjoyed coaching at WHA and have had the privilege of working around many outstanding coaches and athletes.
I graduated high school from Robbinsdale Armstrong.  I played hockey, football and threw the shot and disc in high school.  I went to Moorhead State University to earn a Social Studies degree and play football.  I used all 5 years of eligibility and travelled one year and started as a center for two seasons.
I came to WHA directly out of college and started coaching track under Gregg Parks.  Gregg taught me a lot about how a small school track coach need to be a jack of all trades and accept as much help from the community as you can.  i have been extremely lucky as a head coach to have quality assistant coaches on staff and incredible community volunteers.  In my twelve years as a coach in this community my fondest memories were generated working with the talented student athletes and coaches in the Running Wolves track program.  I also co-coach the 7th & 8th grade football team.  I have had the pleasure to be around quality coaches and athletes in this program as well.  It was an honor to be associated with the 2000 team that went to the first round of state.
