Elementary School: September 1st (11-7 pm) & 2nd (11-6 pm). Families can meet teachers, drop off school supplies, take school pictures, complete a hearing and vision screening, verify school transportation, and complete paperwork. Families will receive a mailing in August with a link to sign up for their preferred day and time.

Secondary School (6-12th): August 26th (5-7 pm). Students can pick up schedules, Chromebooks, meet teachers, and get access to their locker. **Note-there will not be school pictures for 6-12th graders at the open house, pictures will now take place September 15th during the school day.

School meals: Every student receives one breakfast and one lunch at no cost. Second meals are charged based on federal and state reimbursement rates.

Annual Activities Meeting-7-12th Grade: August 10th at 6 pm in the Auditorium. This meeting is for all students interested in being in sports during the school year.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Because medical costs can be expensive, Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Schools does provide families the opportunity to purchase student accident insurance on their student through Student Assurance Servies, Inc.

This supplemental policy would assist with your out-of-pocket medical expenses (i.e. deductible) should your student sustain an accidental injury while coverage is in effect. Also, if you do not have any insurance on your student, this would be primary for accidental injuries. There is a variety of coverage options and premiums are a one-time payment for the school year.
